Economy
The Institute's total expenses in 2004 were 41,5 million EUR. These expenses were balanced as follows:
basic funding from the budget 27,2 million EUR (66%)
income 12,8 million EUR (31%)
external funding 1,4 million EUR (3%)
The revenue target set in the budget was exceeded by 17 %. The total revenue from commercial activities was 8,42 million EUR. Research activities produced a revenue of 3,4 million EUR.
